HD 1 Terrabyte Sky Digibox
The Sky+HD 1TB box has one terabyte of personal storage and can store up to 240 hours of high definition (HD) television – that’s four times more than our latest Sky+HD box. Plus, the increased memory size for Sky Anytime allows you to watch up to 100 hours of on demand HD content.
Like all our Sky+HD boxes you will also be able to access Sky's new TV on demand service, Sky Anytime+, and watch 3D TV with a 3D ready TV - coming later this year.
HD 500gb Sky Digibox
The Amstrad DRX890 Sky+ HD Digibox design matches the existing HD models except for being slightly smaller, with its dark black curved shape and matching remote. The Sky HD box is equipped with the larger *500GB capacity hard drive. This equates to around 60 hours of storable HD footage or 185 hours of standard definition footage. The Sky HD box will also offer Sky+ functionality, allowing Sky+ subscribers to pause and rewind live TV, record two channels simultaneously and automatically record every episode of a selected series. *250GB personal storage; the remaining 250GB is retained by Sky for Anytime/VOD/3D services.
To conform to EU legislation this Sky+HD Digibox comes with the new Sky 'off' mode to allow you to switch off and meet the maximum 1watt power usage. This option is selected by pressing and holding the power button for 5 seconds until the digibox displays the red 'off' light. In 'off' mode the digibox will NOT record any scheduled recordings, download Sky Anytime content or support TV Link, so they have included a 'standby' mode as well by just pressing the power button once, the digibox with go into sleep mode and display an amber light instead. A neat feature to meet all regulations
